EZQuest UltimatePower 120W GaN USB-C PD Wall Charger Review – One Charger to Rule Them!

Review – When I travel, I usually bring a neat bag of chargers, adapters, and power cords with me.This bag used to be big and heavy, as each device usually needed its own charger, power cord, and adapter to work with any other device. But now USB-C is becoming the norm. Most of my devices use this standard (laptops, phones, headphones, tablets) and chargers have become “smart”, meaning they can easily adapt to whatever is being charged. So that bag I used to travel with is much smaller now. With this EZQuest wall charger, I might be able to eliminate it.
The EZQuest UltimatePower 120W GaN USB-C PD Wall Charger is a portable charger with two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, with a total charging power of up to 120W, which adjusts to the charging situation.
The design of the EZQuest UltimatePower 120W GaN USB-C PD Wall Charger is anything but earth-shattering.It’s a white brick that plugs into an outlet and charges things. The unique thing is that it is so well constructed that it can charge and power almost anything. At 120W, this can power a macbook pro with the most power-hungry video rendering sessions. It can quickly charge three devices at once via three ports, but the total output won’t exceed 120W.One thing to note about this power rating is that it’s only 120W for the first 30 minutes. After that, the output dropped to 90W.Still enough for most uses, but if you need 120W continuous for some reason, this probably isn’t for you.
It has a plug that folds easily into the brick, and includes a really nifty 2M USB-C cable capable of delivering all that 120W of power.
That cable is very well constructed, wrapped in sturdy braided nylon and has plenty of plastic strain relief bits on both ends. The actual USB-C port on the cable is a higher-quality all-in-one port that usually makes for a more durable positive connection.
I use this charger to power my work laptop during the day and my EDC device at night. The performance is flawless.A really nice touch is that the plug position on the charging brick is such that when plugged into a standard US outlet, the other plug is still available. Some other chargers I’ve used have the prongs positioned to intentionally block another plug on the wall outlet. This allows you to actually plug other things into the wall!
The EZQuest UltimatePower 120W GaN USB-C PD Wall Charger is not a lightweight charger.Clocking in at 214 grams, it really feels like a brick. It matters, which can be a problem for ultralight travelers. One reason could be that the charger is filled with thermally conductive epoxy for thermal management. It has to work because the charger never gets more than “warm” even with heavy use outdoors on days close to 90 degrees.
If you travel, or even if you don’t, this is a solid charger that can handle multiple devices to charge and run.It comes with some nice extras like a high-quality 2m USB-C cable and a European adapter. It’s a bit heavy, but unlike any similar charger. The sturdy construction and reasonable price make it a good choice for anyone looking to add an extra charger to their home or simplify their travel kit with chargers and adapters.
